Position Responsibility:
Coordinates and implements the governance curriculum and all BoardStar educational activities.
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; preferably with a concentration in adult education, training, nonprofit management, or other related field.
• At least three years of experience developing and implementing educational programs; i.e. workshops, seminars, training courses etc.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others from different backgrounds.
• Ability to work efficiently with database software.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Must be able to pay attention to details.
• Works well within timelines and is goal oriented.
• Must be extremely customer service oriented.
• Experience in nontraditional and electronic delivery of educational programs.
• Excellent customer service skills and willingness to work with other staff.
Description of Duties:
• Implements governance and other BoardStar curricula.
• Recommends new educational offerings, based on program participant feedback.
• Schedules programs and locates host organizations for educational sessions, as well as coordinates the on-site logistics and handles the registration process for all educational sessions.
• Assists in implementing marketing and outreach strategies.
• Maintains customer database.
• Works with staff to write and produce educational materials on governance for presentation and the website.
• Prepares materials for all educational sessions and/or works with presenters to prepare materials.
• Develops educational standards and evaluates all sessions, monitoring outcomes.
• Collects all data and provides evaluation summary to all presenters.
• Reports on all income and expenses associated with educational programs and offerings.
• Designs content for educational contracts.
• Promotes educational offerings and develops partnerships for educational expansion opportunities.

• The current office operates on two floors; all candidates must be able to walk the flight of stairs daily.
• This position requires a flexible schedule including regular work in the evenings.
• This individual will be required to travel outside the office to meet with members, organizations, customers, and individuals related to the job. The Education Coordinator will be required to have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
