As part of its year-long strategic planning process, the CSGM Board of Directors on June 22 voted to adopt the following statements after much introspection and many planning sessions and retreats:

Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee is passionately committed to raising money to support our nonprofit members – 52 groups focused on social justice, animal welfare and environmental progress.

Each year, Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee asks members of the community to nominate individuals committed to social and environmental justice for recognition through our Commitment to Justice Awards.

Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee’s investment policy is now perfectly aligned with its ideals of social justice and a healthy environment: its board of directors has approved a Socially Responsible Investment policy as part of its updated investment policy.
