Seven new members join Community Shares in 2011.

Center for Resilient Cities: Center for Resilient Cities is a nonprofit organization using resilience design to build urban communities' capacity to improve their environments, citizen health, and economic opportunities.

Homeless Veterans Initiative: A group of veterans helping veterans—feeding 80 homeless veterans weekly, providing low-rent housing, and facilitating VA health care and financial benefits.

Literacy Coalition of Southeastern Wisconsin: The LCSW collaborates with literacy providers and organizations to advocate for literacy and develop strategies that will improve literacy, and lead to employment and self-sufficiency.

Midwest Environmental Advocates: Midwest Environmental Advocates is a nonprofit, environmental law firm.  We provide support to communities working to implement and enforce environmental laws and secure environmental justice.

Midwest Renewable Energy Association: Promoting renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable living for over 20 years.  Offers dynamic and  hands-on education for homeowners, businesses, and the green workforce.

Radio Milwaukee: 88Nine RadioMilwaukee encourages diversity, collaboration and community engagement by highlighting Milwaukee's unique music, arts, culture, neighborhoods and community organizations.

Sweetwater Foundation: Sweet Water Foundation supports urban agriculture such as community gardens and aquaponic systems through its training and implementation programs.
