Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee would like to thank all who joined us on Sept. 15 to celebrate the 22nd annual Commitment to Justice Awards. The event was a remarkable success, with over 200 in attendance at Potawatomi Bingo Casino's Woodland Dreams Ballroom.
It was a pleasure to honor Milwaukee pioneers in civic leadership and environmental progress:
Jim Marks, Director, Special Projects at Greater Milwaukee Foundation
Vel Phillips, first woman and first African American elected secretary of state in Wisconsin
Ken Leinbach, Executive Director at Urban Ecology Center
Pam Menhert, General Manager at Outpost Natural Foods
Patrick Schrank, Youth Service Supervisor at Hope House of Milwaukee
